Station 85 is located just east of the junction of Mountain Highway East (SR 7) and Alder Cutoff Road. The station was acquired by District 23 in 2009 and is a former Washington Department of Natural Resources work center. Three separate buildings are on the site. The apparatus bays house 5 fire and special rescue apparatus. A 3 bedroom house, currently being upgraded, houses resident firefighters. The third building is currently being renovated to be the department's training center.

When completed, the training center will have an office for the Training Officer, as well as a large classroom and storage. Onsite training equipment currently includes a multi-pitch roof prop, a customizable search & rescue maze, and a rescue/bail-out prop, with more to come in the future.
